How is your information used in Echidna? 

The information that you enter into Echidna is for your organisation's use only.
Your information will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever. 

The information will only be accessed where it is necessary to do so for the purposes of providing Help Desk support and training.

The contact information may be used to send automated emails advising your staff of their required actions, for support, and to inform you of updates to the system but will not be used for any other purposes.


All information entered into the system is treated as confidential.


How do we protect your information? 

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of the information entered in the site. Data is encrypted and transmitted via TLS1.2 technology. For more information see the Server Security link on the Echidna home page.

Do we use cookies? 

Yes. Cookies are used to recognize your browser and remember your organisation code and username. This simplifies the login process so that only a password is required to enter the site.

IP addresses are tracked only for the purposes of temporary logs which are accessed only on request from Administrators to identify data changes by users.


Do we disclose any information to outside parties? 

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties any information, with the exception that Inet Solutions reserves the right to list your organisation’s name as a customer of Echidna in advertising material and on its website. If you do not wish to have your organisation name displayed on the Echidna website then this will be removed on request.


Data Breach Reporting 

Significant security measures are in place to prevent data breaches. However, if Inetsolutions ascertain that unauthorised personal information is accessed or released then the customer will be notified.
If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm then the Australian Information Commissioner will also be notified in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.


Destroying Personal Information 

The data remains the property of the customer and will not be destroyed unless specifically requested to do so in writing by an authorised Echidna Administrator. System Administrators can request Inet Solutions to destroy individual personal information if they are not required by law to retain this information.
